Beginning Sewing Session 3 of 4

Visit Babcock Library to learn introductory sewing skills!

Over the course of four sessions, participants will learn about, and practice, basic sewing techniques.

 

Topics and Activities:

  • The different types of fabric and what’s important to know about the differences

  • Using an electric sewing machine straight stitch

  • Basic sewing rules to maximize getting the best outcome

  • Make a simple sachel

Fabric and machines* are provided by the instructor

*machines for use IN the Library

Who this class is for:

  • Individuals with little to no sewing experience

  • Limited to four participants ages 12+

Dates: Four consecutive Fridays 10 am – 12 noon
